All doctoral candidates of HKDI, irrespective when they started their PhD studies, are eligible for the prestigious EGIS Excellence Fellowship of HKDI, sponsored by the pharmaceutical company EGIS. Admission to HKDI
The deadline to submit applications to HKDI expired on May 31, 2020. We were happy to receive all 40 applications (31 Hungarian citizens, 3 EU citizens, and 6 SH fellows). The admission "exam" will take place on July 2, 2020, it will most likely be an online (Teams) discussion. Please stay tuned for further news.

The last meeting of the Council of the Hevesy György PhD School of Chemistry took place on June 5, 2020 at 1:00 pm. The Council considered submissions of theses and exams received by Ms. Éva Bíró on or before May 27, 2020.
Report Day - May 22, 2020April 27, 2020
The annual Report Day of our PhD School will take place on May 22, 2020 (Friday) in parallel sessions using the on-line Teams platform of HKDI. Almost all first-, second-, and third-year doctoral candidates are required to make a presentation about their latest research results. This presentation is part of the Complex Exam for second-year doctoral candidates. The expected length of the lectures, including discussion time, is 15 (12+3), 20 (15+5), and 15 (12+3) minutes for first-, second-, and third-year doctoral candidates, respectively. The presentations are expected to be given in English. The detailed program will be made available in due course.

Hanna Ákontz-Kiss receives the EGIS FellowshipSeptember 30, 2019
Based on a competition involving several PhD students, Hanna Ákontz-Kiss, whose supervisors are Drs. Dóra K. Menyhárd and A. Perczel, received the 2019 EGIS Fellowship. Her research centers around the expression, purification, and structural characterization of the catalytic domain of the nucleotide-free recombinant K-Ras protein. Congratulations!
János Csenki receives the 2019 Beregi FellowshipSeptember 25, 2019
Based on a competition involving incoming PhD students, János Csenki, whose supervisor is Dr. Zoltán Novák, received the 2019 Beregi Fellowship sponsored by Servier. János plans to synthesize novel fluoroalkyl-aryl iodonium salts and study the synthetic applications of the prepared salts. Congratulations!
